Observatoriet (Ekonomikum)

In Norrlandsgårdarnas house at Observatoriet there are 118 apartments, out of which 70 are one room and 48 are two rooms.

The construction of student apartments at Observatoriet consists of six buildings. The housing foundations of GH and Gotlands nation?s sharing a house, while Värmlands, V-Dala and Norrlands has one each. Uppsalahem also own two houses. Moving in to GH/Gotlands, Värmland, V-Dala?s and Uppsala Hem's house started in the autumn of 2008. In Norrlands house opened for tenants in April if 2009.

The building has six floors with lift and a basement. Each apartment has internet access via the university. The rent includes cable from Com Hem with a basic range of about 15 channels. Telephone lines are provided by Com Hem. Each apartment also has its own storage room. Storage room, sauna and laundry room are located in the basement. The rent is paid 12 months per year, excluding electricity and hot and cold water which is charged separately.
