Parking

Space for parking of a car or other vehicle can be found at both at Observatoriet and Studentvägen.

The following apply to the parking of motor vehicles:
On all the land owned by the foundation parking is prohibited, unless traffic signs state otherwise. You may stop to load and unload vehicles. However, do not allow a vehicle to be stationary for more than 15 minutes without any activity done with the vehicle.

Parking rules, Studentvägen:
The foundation?s parking spaces are intended for residents of Studentvägen.
All car parks are signposted with traffic sign "P" as well as a few that also have additional sign "Reserved for Norrlandsgårdarna." Parking areas are marked on the ground. Normally "P" means free parking for a maximum of 24 hours, but the foundation have decided that motorized vehicles, provided they are traffic capable, assured and approved by inspection and properly arranged, may be parked on the P-sites for a longer period of time. Only one parking spot per vehicle applies. The same rules apply to vehicles with handicap permits and motor cycles. Motor vehicles not meeting the above requirements will be subject to the levy. The foundation engages Parkia for its parking management. So that as many as possible of the residents will have access to a limited number of parking spaces, we ask you to follow these rules.

Additional parking information:
Studentvägen including the parking outside house 32 belong to the city of Uppsala, where the municipality rules apply. Parking is permitted on Studentvägen on the side with even numbers except in front of house and 2-6 from the housing 32 to the entrance.

Parking rules, Observatoriet (Ekonomikum):
All parking lots in the area are chargeable. Parking fee is paid in parking meter located in the middle of the parking area. You can pay by cash or card. Residents pay a reduced fee " Boende taxa", the requirement is that a valid " Boende Tillstånd" is easily readable in the vehicle together with the parking ticket throughout the entire time of parking.

All tenants in Observatoriet is able to get a ?Boende Tillstånd? eligible for reduced parking fee. Resident wishing " Boende Tillstånd" should contact Mobil Park (see information leaflet below) which is responsible for the operation of the car park. Visitors and others pay the normal fee for parking. Fee must be paid 00-24 every day.
