The autumn semester is upon us which means it is time for RECCEFESTIVAL at Norrlands nation, this year bigger than EVER.

We at Norrlands nation promises an unforgettable start to this term. This year’s RECCEFESTIVAL will be featured by artists who have topped the Swedish charts, something you simply cannot miss! Our dear nation house is large and of ancient lineage and it will be transformed into one big festival for you to enjoy the best which Uppsala can offer for students. Everyone with a nation card is welcome, you don’t have to be a new student in Uppsala (recce).

During the RECCEFESTIVAL you will be able to dance like Shakira, sing until you have no voice in the old hall together with Sweden’s hottest artists, and eat the famous burritos from @Hetaköket or unwind at Orvars krog (our cozy pub). WE GOT YOU!

Broder John
Broder John to Norrlands nation’s RECCEFESTIVAL the 6th of September!
After a decade, Broder John has become a recurring and well-known name in hip-hop Sweden. With his roots in Umeå, he has helped shape today’s music and guided the new generation of artists.
After his second studio album ”Drift” (2021), Broder John has managed to be acknowledged by the internationally recognised platform COLORXSTUDIOS, has started his own label Hoopdiggas, and signed new artists. He has achieved all this without the help from major labels.

Fricky
Fricky to Norrlands nation RECCEFESTIVAL the 6th of September!
With a smooth Västerbotten dialect, Fricky took Sweden by storm when he released his EP ”Aqua Aura” in 2018. The following year, he was named artist of the year at P3 Guld. Fricky is known for his swaying melodies, honesty and stories about life in the north of Sweden.
Fricky has performed at some of Sweden’s biggest festivals and now it’s time for him to take the stage at Norrlands nation.

Galleriet
Galleriet to Norrlands nation’s RECCEFESTIVAL the 1st of September!
Galleriet satisfies the need to sing about the past year -22 when they will play at Norrlands for the third time. Galleriet played for a sold-out Norrlands nation at the beginning of the year where they took the stage with their energetic stage presence and catchy songs. In 2023, they released a series of singles that are spreading rapidly across the Swedish music scene. A gig with Galleriet at Norrlands nation is simply something you can not miss!

August & Eric
August & Eric to Norrlands nation’s RECCEFESTIVAL the 1st of September!
August and Eric are two civil engineering students who have been playing together for almost two years. They are well known for their fast-paced gigs where they get the whole audience to join in to sing and dance. With well-known covers in their repertoire, you will be able to show off just how many songs you know by heart. August and Eric are used to playing festivals and nations, so they know how to deliver a great night!

Casper the Ghost
Casper the ghost to Norrlands nation’s RECCEFESTIVAL on the 8th of September!
Casper The Ghost is back after the success at the Reccefestival last year! Casper The Ghost consists of the cousins Casper and Viktor who have been making music together since they were little. Together they have explored different music genres such as hip hop, trap, emo-rock and then moved into punk. Their breakthrough single ”Bound” has gone platinum and the follow-up ”Flipside” has gone gold.

William Lou
William Lou to Norrlands nation’s RECCEFESTIVAL the 8th of September!
Tom “William Lou” Piippola is a 23-year-old producer & artist from the small village of
Järvsö, Sweden. The Kenyan Finn has a background from competing in the Freeski scene and he found his love for music within the sport when he realized that there is a connection between the two arts of music and skiing at the same time.
When he was 12, he downloaded his first music DAW and started experimenting, but it wasn’t until the summer between 9th grade and high school that he really took off. With his productions inspired from hip-hop, UK garage, punk, edm and with
inspiration from artists such as Deki Alem, The Fugees, Kanye West, Gorillaz and Skrillex. William Lou has found his sound for his artist project with a combination of playful raps and a self-distance with satire.

Papi Santana
Papi Santana to Norrlands nation’s RECCEFESTIVAL the 13th of September!
Papi Santana is a hip hop and R&B artist who has been known on the Swedish hip hop scene since his first single ”Ny Våg” in 2017. Since then, he has released several projects such as the albums ”SINGLE NÄ ALBUM” and ”3 GÄRIS 2 DAGAR” which have been streamed more than 10 million times.
After the songs ”FIKA & BULLAR” and ”Press”, that made it into Sweden’s Viral Top 50 list, he has reached an even wider audience that has now brought him to Norrland’s nation.

Mackan N Matthew
Mackan n Matthew to Norrlands nation’s RECCEFESTIVAL the 8th of September!
Mackan n Matthew is a band led by the siblings Marcus and Anna. Together with Ludvig Ramhult and Mattias Palm, they play their own songs with life as an inspiration in a wonderful mix of Swedish pop, lyrics that moves you and powerful vocals, which simply cannot be disliked. Mackan n Matthew was formed back in 2015 and has since performed on many stages around the country. They stood on stage during last year’s Reccefestival, which was a success! So we are happy to welcome them back this year.

LOV1
LOV1 to Norrlands nation RECCEFESTIVAL the 8th of September!
LOV1 broke through in 2020 with ”Sexcigg” which topped the Swedish charts all summer. In 2022, they released the album ”Profeterna på Balkongen” which hit #9 as the Sweden’s most streamed album.
Today, LOV1 fills clubs around the country. With over 80 million streams, millions of views on YouTube and several gold and platinum singles behind them, it is time for LOV1 to take the stage at Norrlands nation.

Folket
FOLKET to Norrlands nation’s RECCEFESTIVAL the 9th of September!
FOLKET is a group of five Uppsala students who have been playing together as a band for over four years. Usually, you can see them playing at nations and other events around Uppsala. FOLKET plays a mix of covers and their own songs, and they always manage to create an energetic atmosphere which guarantees an evening of singing and dancing.
Brothear
BROTHEAR to Norrlands nation’s RECCEFESTIVAL on the 2nd September!
Brothear is a duo from Knivsta, Sweden. They released their first album in 2017, but brothers Alexander and Filip have been singing and writing music for as long as they can remember. Since their first release, the duo has achieved millions of streams on their own by releasing their music through digital distributors and getting picked up by playlists.
ODZ
ODZ to Norrlands nation’s RECCEFESTIVAL the 13th of September!
ODZ is Sweden’s biggest underground hip-hop act. The mysterious group ODZ (Original Dunder Zubbis) has been a massive success at festivals and clubs all over Sweden. The group is best known for their songs ”ANNA BOOK” and ”PO PO PULL UP” which together have been streamed over 46 million times on Spotify. They released their new album ”ETT ANSTÄNDIGT LIV” earlier this year which has become a massive hit.

Bell
BELL to Norrlands nation’s RECCEFESTIVAL the 13th of September!
With a mix of American pop, punk and hip hop, BELL managed to break through on social media in 2022. Through her social media, BELL shares her personal stories, humour and music.
Her single ”MISSFÖRSTÅTT” started as a viral verse on TikTok. When the song was released, it climbed to the number one spot on Sweden’s Top 50 on Spotify just 24 hours after its release.
